
The PRSN will again bring you Chicago Cub and Chicago White Sox baseball!! AM 1330/FM 94. 1 will be the home for the defending World Champion Chicago Cubs. White Sox fans can find their favorite team on Oldies 1590 WAIK.
We will once again be broadcasting high school and college football for our area teams such as the Monmouth-Roseville Titans, United Red Storm and Monmouth College Fighting Scots, along with the annual Lincoln Bowl between Knox College and Eureka College.
Shawn Temple, Mitch McVey, Tony Wyman, Bob Brownlee and various others will broadcast the games on AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM and Sunny 97.7 WMOI.

Jimmie Carr
Jimmie is a 1959 GHS graduate and a former Silver Streak basketball and baseball player. He was a member of 1959 GHS basketball team that went 29-2 and received 3rd place in the state and also holds the best record in the modern area at GHS. Jimmie played college basketball at Minnesota State and Hannibal LaGrange University. He retired as a full time Sales Associate in broadcasting and is a member of past GHS basketball hiring committees. He continues to broadcast GHS sports since starting in 1968. Jimmie is a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan.
Shawn Temple
Shawn has been the Sports Director here at Prairie Radio since January of 2013. He has broadcast many of our local high school and college's games for the past several years, both as sports director and volunteering.
Shawn graduated Yorkwood High School in 1985 and attended Carl Sandburg College from 1985-1987. Involved in athletics his whole life, his hobbies include playing fast-pitch softball and rooting on his beloved Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins.
You can hear Shawn's passion for local sports through his broadcasting work here at the Prairie Radio Sports Network. He can always be found at one of our area sporting events spreading the good word about our young student-atletes.
Shawn is married to his wife, Cheryl, and together they have two sons, Alex and Tyler. Alex graduated from Monmouth College where he played baseball for the Fighting Scots for four years. Tyler is a US Navy Sailor.

Mitch McVey
Mitch joined the team as the assistant sports director in February 2017, after helping with broadcasts during past football and basketball seasons. He is a graduate of the Western Illinois University class of 2016, earning a bachelor’s degree in sports broadcasting. During his time as a Leatherneck, Mitch helped with the broadcasts of WIU athletics and co-hosted “The Unnamed Sports Show” on the university’s radio station. Mitch was born and raised in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth-Roseville High School in 2012. He earned varsity letters in golf, wrestling, and track during his Titans athletics career.
Mitch’s love for local high school sports is evident in his broadcasts. He bleeds Cubbie blue and can be found singing “Go Cubs Go”, cheering on his beloved Minnesota Vikings, or keeping tabs on the University of Illinois Fighting Illini in his spare time. Mitch also enjoys playing a round of golf or spending a day on the water fishing when he can.
